I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
